Headmade Materials secures EUR 8.25m funding from AM Ventures and the European Innovation Council

Headmade Materials, the inventor of the highly productive metal 3D printing process ColdMetalFusion ('Metal SLS'), has closed a €2.5m Series A financing round with additive manufacturing specialist AM Ventures as lead investor. The btov Industrial Technologies Fund also participated in the funding round as existing shareholder. Additionally, the 3D printing company was able to convince the Innovation Council of the European Union and will receive a funding of up to EUR 5.8m under the EIC Accelerator Program. Headmade Materials will use the funds for the extensive expansion of production capacities, the product portfolio and international sales.

Headmade Materials has been selected for the EU Commission's EIC Accelerator programme as one of Europe's most innovative companies and will receive additional support to bring its technologies to market faster. With the largest funding round to date, the EIC Accelerator programme supports 99 different companies with up to EUR 627 million. Headmade Materials will receive up to EUR 5.85 million within the EIC Accelerator programme, placing it among the top 10 German companies in the programme. "The funds will significantly accelerate the scale-up of our production and the expansion of the business," says Marius Geldner, CFO of Headmade Materials.

Headmade Materials, provider of the 3D-printing process Cold Metal Fusion (´Metal SLS`) for serial production of metal parts, celebrates the roofing ceremony in its new headquarter.

As a spin-off of the SKZ plastics center located in Wuerzburg, Germany (www.skz.de), Headmade Materials headquarter is also based here. But it was not possible to cope with the growth and increased space requirements at the SKZs, which is why plans for a new building were already been made in 2019. The roofing ceremony in the new premises is unfortunately a few weeks late, but has so far not been possible due to the Corona contact restrictions.
